El Café
This Lot 4 is a washed Geisha grown between 1,800 and 1,900 meters above sea level.
At this elevation, Boquete’s cool and misty climate allows the cherries to mature slowly, helping develop the clarity, elegance and aromatic complexity for which Panama Geisha has become renowned.
The Washed process begins with hand selecting ripe cherries, followed by depulping, fermentation, and thorough washing to remove the mucilage. The beans are then sun dried on African raised beds for around 15 days.
This process highlights the variety’s delicate character, resulting in a remarkably clean and refined expression of Lérida’s terroir.
El Proyecto
Finca Lérida is one of Panama’s most historic coffee estates, nestled high in the mountains of Boquete and surrounded by cloud forest and rich volcanic soils.
Founded in 1924 by Norwegian engineer Toleff Bache Mönniche, the estate has played an important role in the development of Panamanian coffee for more than a century.
Today, Finca Lérida is led by producer Maria Antonella Amoruso, who has continued its legacy while pushing the estate toward an increasingly precise and quality focused approach to specialty coffee.
